Jung-Ho Lee, PhD

CEO, Co-founder

Jung-Ho has over 35 years of research expertise in secondary batteries, single-atom catalysts, solid electrolytes, fuel cells, and water electrolysis. He has published numerous papers in top journals such as Nature Catalysis, Advanced Materials, and Energy & Environmental Science. Jung-Ho was selected as one of the Top 10 Global Researchers by the Falling Walls Foundation in Berlin, Germany, in 2021 for his publication of a commercializable all-solid-state zinc-air battery pouch cell technology in Nature Energy in 2020. The technology was also selected as one of the Top 10 Nanotechnologies in Korea by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy/Ministry of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea. He is a professor at Hanyang University ERICA and a fellow of the National Academy of Engineering of Korea. He received his Ph.D. from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) 1995.

Minchul Yang, PhD, JD

COO, Co-founder

Minchul is a seasoned expert in technology with a diverse background encompassing semiconductor devices, sensors, organic and inorganic materials, and mechanical systems. He has over 16 years of R&D experience focusing on the surface/interface system critical to rechargeable battery technology. He founded and served as CEO of IPLINC, a startup pioneering an online flatform for transaction of  intellectual properties. He has authored  33 research publications and has contributed to groundbreaking work at institutions such as Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) and Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). Minchul earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Seoul National University, Korea, and received the Best PhD Thesis Award in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania in 2002.

Sambhaji Shinde, PhD

CTO

Sambhaji has extensive experience in materials and solid-state physics for 18 years. His R&D focus is on the design of cathode, electrolyte, and anode materials for secondary Li- and Zn-based batteries. He received Dr. D.S. Kothari’s postdoctoral fellowship from the University Grants Commission and the Young Scientist award from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, 2013. He worked as a senior research scientist from 2013 to 2014 at the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science. He received his Ph.D. degree in physics from Shivaji University. He was chosen as the Best Scientist in Materials Science by Research.com in 2022 and the world’s top 2% scientist since 2020 by Stanford University. He has been credited for 160 research articles, five books, and 80 patents.

Jeong K.Choi, MBA, CPA

CFO

With 25 years of experience in finance and accounting, he has served as CFO for startups and held finance management roles at Citigroup, LG Electronics, and the Brookings Institution. His expertise spans Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury and Liquidity Management, Debt and Investment Management, FX and Asset & Liability Management (ALM), as well as Resource Management. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Rochester.
